Energy Science ~ An Ayurvedic Perspective

Energy Science ~ An Ayurvedic Perspective

Energy Science ~ An Ayurvedic Perspective
Would we think it to be unusual if someone who involved in a severe car accident would walk out of the ICU in a couple of days looking well? In the same way, would we think it unusual that someone with a chronic disease would clear their symptoms in a couple of months? When many of the various energy sciences are used, healing is elicited primarily by correcting the underlying imbalance [of qualities]. Often it takes years, literally, of poor lifestyle choices to cultivate significant imbalances within the body. Energy science is not like taking an antibiotic for a few days and everything is suddenly better. I wish it were that simple, especially, in a world of imbalances.

Embracing The Uncertainty Principle
Interestingly, anxiety can actually become an integral part of healing in the initial stages. The question may arise as to how long do I have to do this work to see the benefits? If one assumes to take on a healing journey, for whatever reasons, there’s always some element of apprehension simply because of the unknown. It’s only natural that we all want to be in control, and naturally wonder what’s going to happen, how long it is going to take, and what will the journey look like along the way? However, in my personal experience in the energy science is that the work done gives some element of predictability, which gives solace.

  • THE FUNDAMENTALS:
    – Nutrition Unique To One’s Individual Needs
    – Improving Agni [The Digestive Fire]
    – Avoiding Incompatible Food Combinations

Nutrition Unique To One’s Individual Needs
It’s been said that all diseases begins in the “gut” [except for trauma]. Nutrition is the quintessence that supports the energy and basic makeup of each individual. Therefore, nutrition that is unique to each individual’s needs becomes the basis for this fundemental therapy and ultimately helps support a healthy return to balance while at the same time eliminating imbalances within the gastrointestinal tract (GIT).

Improving Digestion and Avoiding Incompatible Food Combinations
Improving agni (the digestive fire) helps to digest, absorb and assimilate nutrients of digestion. Likewise, healthy agni helps to prevent the formation and even burn ama [toxins; undigested food] from the GIT ultimtaly helping to improve one’s health and overall well-being. Another important aspect to vital health is the avoidance of incompatible food combinations.

More Advanced Considerations
There are some clinical situations where the imbalance that was created is beyond fundamental [nutritional] work. In this setting, there are more advanced considerations which may be indicated in order to achieve appropriate clearing and elimination of the qualitative imbalances developed. Typically, this is only a consideration if the symptoms have gone beyond the basic disease process.  Again, these advanced considerations [i.e. herbal formulas, basti management, marma therapy, and detoxification procedures] are part of getting better but often will still require more time.

Personal Responsibility
Unfortunately, in life there is no quick fix. I think we all know this intuitively but sometimes we hope against hope that it’s not true. We can see that as we apply this energy science it requires dedicated work on our part to maintain lifestyle changes which support the clearance of the imbalances created.
